Minister of Colleges and Universities’ Awards of Excellence 2021–2022

Help us shine a spotlight on the stellar teaching, writing, research and innovation at Ontario’s publicly assisted colleges and universities, Indigenous Institutes, private postsecondary institutions, and private career colleges during the 2021-2022 school year.

These awards highlight the incredible work of professors, instructors, staff, and graduate students on campus, in the community and beyond. Help us celebrate those you think have demonstrated outstanding work, leadership, innovation and vision for the province of Ontario.

You can nominate exceptional postsecondary faculty, staff, or graduate students as either an individual or a team.

How to make your nomination

  • choose your nomination from one of five categories
  • choose only one category per nomination (to nominate the same person or team in another category, please submit another entry)
  • all graduate student nominations must be submitted in the “Rising Star” category

Personal information is being collected by the Ministry of Colleges and Universities for the purpose of reviewing nominations, determining the award recipients, and promoting and distributing the awards. The information provided will be used to contact nominees and nominators once awards have been determined. We may use the nominator’s contact information to clarify answers or ask for further information. We may also share the name of the nominee with their institution.

Terms of entry

Names, social media and some of the information shared will be used by the Ministry of Colleges and Universities to promote winners on social media. We will contact winners to request their permission to use their name on social media.
